League of Women Voters forums
Homewood mayor
Homewood Mayor Rich Hofeld has been in office since 1997 and has had few challengers in that time. This year, though, new resident Brady Chalmers is vying for the position. The two met Saturday, March 15, in a League of Women Voters candidate forum to offer voters their qualifications and visions for the village. Flossmoor mayor
The forum for mayor of Flossmoor candidates was held at the Homewood Science Center on Saturday, March 8. Candidates included incumbent Michelle Nelson and challenger Joni Bradley-Scott. The LWV forum guidelines are available here: bit.ly/LWVguidelines.
Homewood trustees
The League of Women voters hosted a forum Saturday, March 15, giving voters a chance to ask questions of candidates for Homewood Board of Trustees. Candidates included Tiffany Cole, Craig Frank, Vivian Harris-Jones, Patrick McAneney, Phil Mason, Lauren Roman, Patrick Siemsen and Liz Varmecky. Flossmoor trustees
The forum for Flossmoor Board of Trustees candidates was held on Saturday, March 8, in the Homewood Science Center. Homewood-Flossmoor School District 233
The forum for Homewood-Flossmoor School District 233 candidates was held March 1 at Flossmoor village hall. Candidates who participated were Lenita Gipson, Ariana Leonard, Camille O’Quin and Aredell “A.J.” Roundtree. Candidate Tamekia Smith was unable to attend.
