Most important issues: According to many community members: 1) lack of transparency between the government and community members, 2) lack of communication and the perception that community voices are not being heard, 3) safety concerns related to increasing crime, specifically theft, burglary, and more recently, targeted shooting events, 4) rental property accountability and neighborhood property upkeep, 5) village street and road repair and neighborhood beautification concerns, 6) community-approved fiscal management of village funds, and 7) supporting local businesses to increase sustainability.
Top goals: Ensure appropriate communication channels to hear and receive information so that all community and business voices are heard.
My second goal is to vote in line with community voices to demonstrate equitable fiscal responsibility and transparency. I would seek to enforce accountability among homeowners and property owners, as well as the village code enforcer, for the maintenance of their properties and the beautification of Flossmoor. This includes addressing safety concerns and overseeing street repairs throughout the village.
