Most important issues: The top issues facing H-F High School center around equity, educator support, and sustaining excellence. Ensuring equity means providing all students with access to rigorous academic opportunities and extracurricular programs in the arts, athletics, and leadership. These initiatives must address the needs of a diverse student population, focusing on eliminating barriers to success and fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Supporting educators is equally critical, as they are the cornerstone of student achievement. Competitive salaries, meaningful benefits, and access to professional development ensure HF attracts and retains top talent. Open collaboration between educators, administrators, and the board strengthens trust and ensures their voices guide decision-making.

Finally, sustaining HF’s tradition of excellence involves implementing innovative, evidence-based practices, maintaining fiscal responsibility, and cultivating strong relationships with families and the community. These efforts will ensure that HFHS remains a model of academic achievement, creativity, and collaboration, meeting the needs of all stakeholders.

Top goals: If elected, I will implement targeted strategies to promote equity, support educators, and uphold excellence. I will work with administrators, teachers, and community members to expand advanced academic programs and extracurricular opportunities, using data analysis to identify gaps and allocate resources effectively. I will advocate for policies that ensure all students, regardless of background, receive the support needed to thrive.

To support educators, I will push for transparent contract negotiations that prioritize fair salaries, benefits, and professional development. I will establish structured advisory committees and facilitate regular listening sessions between educators and administrators, ensuring that faculty concerns are addressed and incorporated into policy decisions.

To maintain excellence, I will lead efforts to implement Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and culturally responsive teaching practices. I will conduct budget analyses to balance financial sustainability with program investments and strengthen community engagement through town halls, surveys, and clear communication channels.
