Office: Homewood Public Library Board of Trustees
Education: B.A. Elementary Education; M.A. Curriculum and Instruction; M.A. Teaching and Leadership.
Employment history: After being a full-time stay-at-home parent for 15 years, I taught junior high language arts for 3 years and reading for 19 years.

Previous service: Throughout my entire teaching career, I was on the Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) Committee as well as the Anti-Bullying Committee. Both of these committees were integral to a safe and successful school environment.
Most important issues: As a passionate advocate for free speech, I am committed to opposing book banning and championing the rights of marginalized communities. I believe in fostering an inclusive environment that ensures access to literacy and library services for all individuals. I am
dedicated to promoting these values within our local library system and working towards a more equitable and accessible future for everyone in our wonderful community.
Top goals: My top priority would be to protect the First Amendment to the United States Constitution – which is the freedom of speech. Luckily book banning has not been an issue for the Homewood Library, but I feel it’s important to have advocates who would oppose these unpatriotic actions.
