Office: Flossmoor Public Library Board of Trustees
Education: B.S. in Secondary English Education, Indiana University; M.A. in School Counseling, Saint Xavier University.
Employment history: School Counselor working with elementary through college students, and former high school English teacher; educating for 25 years.

Previous service: Service and philanthropic memberships with the Flossmoor JA Chapter of P.E.O. and former member of the Flossmoor chapter of Infant Welfare Society.
Most important issues: Families want, and deserve, access to a wide range of literature, media, and exciting library programs and services. Flossmoor Public Library has offered these things, along with a spectacular building to enjoy and explore by my family for over 12 years, and by the community as a whole for many more.
I take significant pride in what our library offers our community, and I want to be a part of the governing body that contributes to providing a diverse range of books, programs and services, and supports individuals in a path to lifelong learning.
Top goals: My top three goals would be to promote literacy and education through various programs and services; encourage the utilization of technology to enhance library services and reach a wider audience; and to advocate for intellectual freedom and provide a safe space for diverse viewpoints.
These three cornerstones are what I feel our library is built on, and my priority would be to continue and enhance this mission that I value along with so many others in this community. My experience working with youth and families for many years has given me an important perspective of what communities need to thrive and grow, and I believe I can contribute to ours by taking this active role in our library.
