Most important issues: Working with teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure our nationally acclaimed schools have the resources our kids deserve; Supporting union projects while increasing development, attracting new businesses and industries; Providing property tax relief through new revenue collected from the Wind Creek Casino; Keeping Homewood a safe and prosperous community for new families and our most vulnerable; Updating our existing infrastructure and also increasing access to public transportation.
Top goals: Working with the community and stakeholders to make Homewood the number one place people want to call home in Illinois. We are going to attract and build more businesses without losing our sense of community. We are going to invest in education and our students because we know they are our future. We are going to embrace the changing technology and use it to benefit the families in Homewood. We are going to update our existing infrastructure and make public transportation more accessible for our residents. We are going to keep our parks and green spaces clean and vibrant, attracting events and festivals year-round. And finally, we are going to support and work with law enforcement to ensure our communities are safe by increasing resources for public safety and making people feel comfortable moving to Homewood.
