Park district installs new energy lights at racquet club

No one injured in fire early Sunday
Homewood firefighters responded to a residential fire in the 1700 block of 187th Street in Homewood early Sunday. Fire officials said the family was home at the time but was able to evacuate without injury.
Purse stolen from residence Saturday evening
Homewood police report that a purse was stolen from a home Saturday evening while the resident was present. The incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. at a home in the 17500 block of Sycamore Drive.
