Flossmoor Streetscape Project Update. Construction continued on the storm sewer project last week with the sidewalk removal and the installation of a new drainage structure, according to an update from village officials. They urge everyone walking or driving downtown to be aware of uneven terrain in the sidewalk and pavement areas. Sidewalk removal will continue in the coming week. Curbs and sidewalks will begin to be replaced. Homer Tree Service also will be on site, removing remaining tree stumps.

Flossmoor Parking Update. Flossmoor downtown businesses remain open during construction. To help patrons, there is free, three-hour, Monday-Friday parking in the Central Drive, North and South Commuter lots. The spaces in the commuter lots are marked by an official Flossmoor sign. Free spots in the North Commuter lot may be in different spaces on both sides of the aisle to better accommodate quarterly commuters. Daily commuter permits will be allowed only in the South Commuter lot for the duration of the Downtown Streetscape Project.
