Homewood village trustees approved an agreement Tuesday that will help alleviate potential future parking issues caused by changes soon to come around village hall. Flossmoor board overturns truck parking ban
Flossmoor residents can now legally park pickup trucks in their driveways after the Flossmoor Village Board voted Monday to change a decades-old ban. The vote was unanimous among the six trustees. Mayor Paul Braun, who abstained from voting, called the vote a “landmark” decision for the community.

Humane society to renovate, open adoption center in Homewood
The South Suburban Humane Society is renovating the building which once held the Homewood Animal Hospital at 2207 183rd Street. It will be used for a new adoption center, the society’s CEO Emily Klehm announced at Tuesday’s Homewood village board meeting.
