Homewood-Flossmoor High School science teacher Stephen Banasiak has been nominated for the prestigious National Science Foundation’s Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching of Science and Mathematics. Through his classes, the teacher gives students an understanding of scientific principles through a hands-on approach.
