People interested in learning about plant-based nutrition have a new opportunity to expand their knowledge in coming weeks. Prompted by requests from the local vegan/vegetarian group Vegging Out, Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will a five-week online course provided by PlantPure, an organization that promotes plant-based diet.

Cancer Support Center adds kids fun run to Walk of Hope
Volunteers for the Cancer Support Center will be walking through Homewood for the organization’s annual Walk of Hope on Sunday, Oct. 6.
