The Flossmoor Police Department has adopted a list of values designed to build trust between law enforcement and communities of color called the 10 Shared Principles of Policing. The principles were created by the NAACP Illinois State Conference and the Illinois Association of Chiefs of Police.

Flossmoor names new coordinator for village events
Nicole Brookens has been named program and events coordinator for the village of Flossmoor. Brookens, a longtime Homewood resident, succeeds Laura Brennan Levy, who stepped down from the post last month. Brennan Levy was the first person to hold the position.
