Homewood police respond to disturbance at Walmart

Homewood police officers responded at 3:39 p.m. to Walmart at 17550 S. Halsted St. after receiving a report of a disturbance.  Village officials posted a message on Facebook to counter social media rumors that there was a shooting. No shots were fired. Police continue to investigate the incident.

Two people carjacked in Homewood driveway

Homewood police said they responded to report of a carjacking early Tuesday morning. Around 1:50 a.m., two people reported they were parked in a driveway in the 17600 block of Lincoln Avenue when three to four armed men approached the car and demanded the keys.
