Runners, walkers and supporters will gather Sunday, Sept. 17, for the 8th annual Homewood Schools Fund Run. The race, hosted by Foundation 153, raises money for programs and school initiatives that are not paid for through the school budget.

Electronics recycling offered at Homewood village hall on Saturday, other services scheduled in coming weeks
Homewood officials announced this week that several popular services for residents are scheduled for coming weeks, including paper shredding, electronics recycling, prescription drug disposal and branch chipping. Mancini promoted in Homewood Public Works Department

Armed robber hits Southgate Mini Mart late Saturday
