H-F Foundation sponsors golf outing on Sept. 15

It’s a golf, dinner and the Homewood-Flossmoor High School homecoming football game extravaganza on Sept. 15 for the Homewood-Flossmoor High School Foundation’s annual fundraiser. Money raised from the event supports activities and equipment for the high school’s various student organizations. In 2016-17, the foundation gave $20,000 in grants to support student trips and activities. This year’s fundraiser begins with registration at 11:30 a.m. at Coyote Run Golf Course in Flossmoor. Summer events

Saturday, July 2

  • Roots + Fire Water grand opening, 11 a.m. at 1941 Ridge Road in Homewood.

Monday, July 4

  • Flossmoor Volunteer Fire Department kids parade, starting at 10 a.m. at Parker Junior High, ending in downtown Flossmoor.
  • Homewood 4th of July parade, staring at 10 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church parking lot, 17951 Dixie Highway, south to Ridge Road, then east to Izaak Walton Nature Preserve, where there will be a community picnic.
