Homewood Farmers Market keeps festival spirit alive
The Homewood Farmers Market summer season will begin Saturday, May 27, and will continue through Oct. 14. Village officials say it will build on the successes of recent years, keeping the momentum going for the village’s festivals.
Homewood accountant promoted to assistant finance director
The Homewood Village board approved a promotion within the finance department at its May 9 meeting. Amy Zukowski was sworn in as assistant finance director. She was also approved as the village’s agent for the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund.
Big machines will rule in Homewood on May 20-21
Big machines will be on display and in action May 20-21 at the annual Homewood Rail Fest, the Homewood Public Works Open House and the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District’s Touch a Truck event. The Homewood Science Center will host a PopUp Science event with activities that explore the physics of railroads and rollercoasters.
