Street resurfacing to begin Monday in Homewood

Motorists might want to seek alternate routes in coming weeks while work begins on Homewood’s 2018 street resurfacing program. Local real estate agent appointed to Homewood board

Homewood’s newest trustee grew up in the village and is now raising her family here. Homewood Mayor Richard Hofeld announced Thursday, April 19, that Lauren Roman, a 2003 graduate of Homewood-Flossmoor High School, will be sworn in at the regular board of trustees meeting on Tuesday, April 24.

Colton resigns from board in Homewood

​Homewood Trustee Anne Colton resigned her position with a letter to village officials Monday, April 9. In her letter to Mayor Richard Hofeld and fellow trustees, Colton said she’d signed a contract with PBS for distribution of a documentary she produced and is planning to focus more on her career. 

Homewood to hold public hearing on village budget

The Homewood board of trustees will hold a public hearing at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, to allow residents to comment on the village’s 2018-19 budget.
