No one injured in fire early Sunday

Homewood firefighters responded to a residential fire in the 1700 block of 187th Street in Homewood early Sunday. Fire officials said the family was home at the time but was able to evacuate without injury.

Purse stolen from residence Saturday evening

Homewood police report that a purse was stolen from a home Saturday evening while the resident was present. The incident occurred shortly before 7 p.m. at a home in the 17500 block of Sycamore Drive. The Homewood-Flossmoor Vikings lost another close game Friday, falling to Simeon 57-54. The Vikings have a record of 5-3 but all three of those losses have been within a deficit of five points. 

Flossmoor Plan Commission OKs pickup truck parking
