Believe it or not, Flossmoor’s downtown clocks had their own “Back to the Future” moment more than 35 years ago. Mayor Paul Braun said the timepieces in Flossmoor’s clock tower were rendered inoperable during a 1981 thunderstorm.

Homewood to consider selling land to developers
At their regular board meeting Tuesday, Sept. 12, Homewood trustees will consider selling three parcels of land at the northwest corner of Halsted and 175th streets that would enable redevelopment of the property.
