Homewood approves 3-cents per gallon gas tax
A 3-cents per gallon tax on gasoline from Homewood pumps was approved by the village board at its July 9 meeting. The state’s motor fuel tax also increased by 19 cents per gallon July 1. It’s the first increase since 1990.

Homewood trustees to consider local gas tax, alternative water sources
Homewood trustees will consider a measure Tuesday to add a 3-cent per gallon tax to gasoline sold in the village. If implemented, and in combination with an expected increase in Motor Fuel Tax revenue from the state, the village could more than double the funds used for the street resurfacing program.
