Irish tenor sings St. Patrick’s Day favorites

Gavin Coyle, a noted Irish tenor, will be giving a belated St. Patrick’s Day concert of Celtic songs and Irish ballads at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at St. Joseph Church, 17951 Dixie Highway in Homewood.

‘Think Homewood’ 2019 to be unveiled Tuesday

Homewood Marketing Director Jennifer Quirke will introduce this year’s marketing campaign at the Board of Trustees meeting Tuesday. Last year’s “Think Homewood” campaign, which employed comic-style messages about the village’s desireability, attracted nationwide media attention. H-F board approves $1.4 million in updates

The District 233 school board accepted four bids at its Feb. 19 meeting, for a total of $1.43 million for work on the North and South Buildings this summer.   Amber Mechanical of Alsip was awarded a $508,000 contract for updates to the mechanical system on the North Building gym.[Read More…]
