One driver was treated for minor injuries and transported to an area hospital after a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of 183rd Street and Harwood Avenue Wednesday evening, March 18.
The crash occurred about 8 p.m. when the driver of a blue Hyundai Sonata was traveling northbound on Harwood when it entered the intersection with 183rd Street against a red light, according to Homewood police.
The Hyundai was struck by a white Cadillac XTS that was traveling eastbound on 183rd Street. The Hyundai then struck a tan Jeep Commander that was waiting to turn left from eastbound 183rd.
The driver of the Cadillac was transported to a hospital. The drivers of the other vehicles refused medical treatment, police said.
The driver of the Hyundai was cited for disobeying a traffic control device. The driver of the Cadillac was cited for not having valid insurance.
