Salute to Service Game. Active duty and military veterans will be honored at the Homewood-Flossmoor football game Friday, Aug. 29. Sling Bags will be sold at the game, and all proceeds will be donated to the Veterans Wall of Honor in Flossmoor. - Consider a redevelopment agreement with the owner of 18063 Dixie Highway in preparation for a new store, Beyond Books.
- Consider an agreement to purchase Tower Park at 18355 Pierce Avenue, currently owned by the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District.

Storytime in the Park. Flossmoor Public Library will host storytime in Leavitt Park, 1010 Leavitt Ave. from 10:30 to 11 a.m. bring your own blankets/chairs. Storytime will be moved to the library in the event of bad weather or heat advisories. Registration is required.
Bagels & Bingo. Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., will host Bagels and Bingo for seniors from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in the Helen Wilson Meeting Room. There will be small prizes for each game winner and bagels for all (or until supplies run out). This program is being sponsored by AgeOptions. Choo-Choo Ride. GoodSpeed Cycle’s slow roll just riding around bike ride for all ages. Meet at the shop, 2125 W. 183rd St., at 6:30 p.m. The ride is about four miles at a leisurely pace. The ride ends at the shop around 7:30 p.m. with Dilly Bars and beers for riders. Helmets required. This will be the last Choo-Choo Ride of the season.
