Art in the Park. Youngsters can create art from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Goldberg Park, 3301 Flossmoor Road.

Makerspace Days. Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., invites teens to visit The Attic from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. to make earrings, sew a squishy or create something completely new in the Makerspace. There will be a focused activity for anyone looking for a little inspiration, but you can come up with your own project, too.

Crafts in a Jar. Visit the meeting room at Homewood Public Library, 17917 Dixie Highway, from 5 to 6 p.m. to turn tiny jars into miniature masterpieces. Design habitats and snow globes inside small glass jars using a variety of craft supplies. Register here. 

Books Without Borders: Don’t Go. Co-author Maria Krysan will join the community book club to talk about “Don’t Go: Stories of Segregation and How to Disrupt It,” which she wrote with Tonika Lewis Johnson. The meeting will be at Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., from 6:45 to 8 p.m.

Evening Book Discussion: A Place For Us. Flossmoor Public Library, 1000 Sterling Ave., will host in the Conference Room from 7 to 8 p.m. a discussion of “A Place for Us” by Fatima Farheen Mirza. Everyone is welcome.
