Strong thunderstorms roared through the Homewood and Flossmoor area Friday afternoon, July 3, and again in late evening.
Numerous tree branches and a few trees were blown down by high winds in the mid-afternoon storm.
Public works and public safety crews in both villages have been assessing damage and helping clear roads of debris since the storms began.
