Homewood-Flossmoor High School was on lockdown Friday afternoon after a gun was discovered on campus.
Flossmoor Police Commander Tim Filkins said the perpetrator was in custody. No one was injured.
H-F administrators moved from a soft lockdown to a full lockdown around 1:15 p.m. Students were told to stay in their classrooms during the police investigation which concluded about an hour later.
According to H-F PR Director Carla Erdey, a staff member found a revolver on the ground with bullets spread around in the South Building, 999 Kedzie Ave. in Flossmoor. She did not have information on the perpetrator or his year at H-F. Filkins said he could not provide the name.
