A 42-year-old man from Markham was killed Saturday, May 31, when his motorcycle struck a vehicle crossing 183rd Street on Hood Avenue in Homewood.
Homewood police said the crash occurred shortly before 9:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of 183rd Street.
The motorcycle was traveling westbound on 183rd when it struck a vehicle traveling northbound on Hood.
The driver of the motorcycle was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The name of the driver is being withheld at this time pending notification of family.
The circumstances of the crash are under investigation by the Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit with assistance from the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team (SMART).
