Highlights: The commission will discuss the village’s new festival, Oaktoberfest, and ideas for issues the commission could champion.
Homewood-Flossmoor School District 233 will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Homewood-Flossmoor High School, 999 Kedzie Ave., in the Viking Room. Find the agenda here.
Highlights: The board will approve contracts for bus service, athletic training, a new website design; accept the Technology Department’s needs for next school year; approve contracts with Department Leads (replacing Department Chair positions), and with Michelle Meadows, new director of Career Pathways & Workforce Development; and accept the recommendations from the Strategic Planning Committee.
Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at the park district offices at Goldberg Park, 3301 Flossmoor Road. Find the agenda here.
Highlights: The commissioners will elect new officers; approve the 2024-25 budget; purchase new equipment for the H-F Racquet and Fitness Club, and new outside doors for the H-F Ice Arena.

The commission also will consider a request from Ben Beitel of Washington Park Plaza LLC to subdivide the shopping center property to enable the development of a quick service restaurant near the intersection of Halsted Street and Maple Road.
