Hakeem and Sade Bello, surrounded by friends, family, Flossmoor officials and area business leaders, cut the first ribbon during a grand opening celebration April 11 for the House of Goshen hospice at 19810 Governors Highway in Flossmoor. Hakeem Bello said the facility needs a few last details to be resolved but should be ready to receive patients this summer. He called the facility a miracle and had three pastors on hand to help with the dedication. To make sure as many people as possible could be recognized, the Bellos presided over six ribbon cuttings before starting tours of the new building. (Eric Crump/H-F Chronicle)
