A Homewood man has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting a woman early Saturday morning.
Homewood police reported that officers responded to an address in the 3000 block of Hickory Road at 4:41 a.m. At the residence, they discovered a woman had been shot in the leg in the home.
The victim’s injuries were not life threatening, police said. She remains hospitalized.
Jermaine Terrell, 39, of Homewood was taken into custody at the scene and has been charged with attempted murder and aggravated domestic battery, police said.
Police said the shooting appeared to be a targeted attack, and there is not an on-going threat to the community.
