Arlene “Sugar” Al-Amin

Age: 50
Education: Attended Chicago Vocational School, Attended Alcorn State University, Illinois State University, Attended Pivot Point Academy (License in Cosmetology), Certified Youth Mental Health First Aid Counselor
Job Role: Rich Township Clerk; Business Owner, Property Investor 
Family Background: I’ve lived in Flossmoor for over 18 years. My husband Rafi and I have raised our children here. We are a family of seven.  
Volunteer: I volunteer in our community serving on the Community Relations Committee, where I have been a voice for residents of the village and law enforcement. The Flossmoor Service League, where I and women from our community raise over $30,000 annually to aid 15 local charities. I’m an annual sponsor for our festivals, such as Flossmoor Fest, Juneteenth, and the Gem, to name a few.

Issues and Goals:
I want your vote on April 4th, so I can get to work to bring your fresh and new ideas to reality. One of my goals is to bring premier five star restaurants and retail spaces to our community to recycle consumer dollars. I would also like to combat the ongoing flood issues and old infrastructure that needs immediate attention for our residents. These are agenda’s that I will advocate for on, “Day 1.”
