Meet the Candidates: Gina LoGalbo, Flossmoor clerk (free)

Gina LoGalbo

Age: 43
Education: A.A. from Joliet Junior College; B.A. from University of Illinois at Chicago; J.D., The John Marshall Law School (now UIC Law School)
Job/role: Cook County BHR-Labor/ Hearing Officer
Family: Husband, Joe, and four children.

Issues:
First, to fulfill my duties as clerk during the village board meetings and by preparing the minutes after the meetings. Other important issues for me include supporting our local businesses and economic development initiatives, participating/encouraging participation in community building activities, and passing on my own/residents’ ideas and concerns to the village board and staff for the betterment of our community.

Goals:
Although the position of village clerk is a non-voting member of the board, I support using the position to foster relationships with other government officials and organizations for the benefit of Flossmoor. My goals include strengthening those relationships, getting to know more Flossmoor residents, and supporting the village where needed. I’m very grateful to have served as village clerk, and would be honored to serve again.
