Issues:
The most important issue for me is the library’s continued commitment to being a community space for everyone. This includes a commitment to open access and freedom of speech but also continuing to offer programs that engage the entire Homewood community. Libraries are community institutions and I want the Homewood Public Library to continue to thrive.
Goals:
- Work with the community and the staff and leadership of HPL to outline a vision for the post-pandemic public library.
- Be an advocate for a well-funded and supported public library.
- Make sure the library is a welcoming space to everyone in the community.
