Look back: March 2022

Rethinking 183rd Street to make it slower, safer and more pedestrian and cyclist friendly began in earnest with a traffic study commissioned by the village of Homewood in 2021. The centerpiece of the March print edition is a walk along the street and through the study to see what it reveals about traffic volume, where crashes are more likely to happen, what conditions contribute to crashes and what options the village could explore for improving the street.
