Motorcyclist killed in crash Saturday in Homewood

A 67-year-old man was killed Saturday morning when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a green Kia at the intersection of Ridge Road and Halsted Street in Homewood, according to Homewood police.

The identity of the driver has not been released pending notification of family members. The driver and passengers of the Kia were not injured.

The crash occurred at about 9:51 a.m. and is under investigation by the Homewood Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit with assistance from the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team.

Police urge anyone who witnessed the crash to contact the Homewood Police Department at 708-206-3420.
