Man robs bank on Halsted Street
A Homewood bank on Halsted Street was robbed this afternoon, according to Homewood Police Department. In a press release, police said they responded to a report of a bank robbery at TCF Bank, 17830 Halsted St., at about 2:40 p.m. today, Monday, Aug. 3.
7-Eleven in Homewood robbed on Sunday
The 7-Eleven convenience store at 3154 W. 183rd St. was robbed early Sunday morning, according to Homewood police. Shortly after 4 a.m., a man wearing a gray sweatshirt and gray pants displayed a handgun and demanded money from the register, police said.

Broadway in Chicago recognizes talents of H-F grad Ava Jones
