Park district gets funding for Homewood Estates Park

Park board hears concerns about manager changes

Members of the Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet Club brought concerns to park commissioners Tuesday about a change of job status for Umang Chadda, the club’s tennis pro and now former racquet sports manager.

Parks staff helps take care of flooding issues

Homewood-Flossmoor Park District employees hope they never have to deal again with flooding the likes of what hit the area on Friday, Sept. 27. At the Oct. 1 park board meeting, commissioners heard of damage reports and special efforts by staff.  

Pickleball courts, lessons available through H-F Park District

The pickleball craze has come to the H-F area. The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District will make two outdoor pickleball courts at Lions Club Park, 1041 Ridge Road in Homewood, and the Racquet & Fitness Club, 2920 W 183rd St., is hosting a pickleball primer at various times this fall.
