Downtown dogs on display as SSHS fundraiser moves to Flossmoor
They are noble, alert and very colorful. One is wearing spectacles. Four have hats — specifically, a firefighter’s helmet, graduation cap, chef’s toque and newspaper reporter’s chapeau. Dogs on Parade has returned to the H-F area for another summer, with 17 life-sized pups standing watch in downtown Flossmoor.
Walkathon will raise funds for African hospital, stricken teen
On Saturday, July 14, PRHeSS, a charity operated by Homewood couple Sam and Mary Kormoi, will host its 10th annual walkathon. The five-mile walk through Homewood will raise money for the community hospital in rural Sierra Leone that the organization founded.
4th H-F athletics golf event planned
Reservations are being accepted for the fourth annual H-F Red & White Golf Classic set for Friday, Aug. 10. The event at Odyssey Country Club in Tinley Park will have a 1 p.m. shotgun start. Tickets are $150 per person for golf and dinner, or $75 for a dinner guest. [Read More…]
