Former Homewood woman wins Glenwood Academy Queen of Hearts raffle
A winning card was drawn in last week’s Queen of Hearts Raffle, a fundraiser that supports Glenwood Academy. Sheila Rinearson, a Homewood native and current resident of Clearwater, Florida, was presented with a pre-tax check for $27,910 by Mary Hollie, Glenwood Academy President and CEO.

District 153 starts search for Hart principal
The Homewood District 153 school board started accepting applications for principal of James Hart School on Tuesday, Nov. 5. The position will be open next school year as Scott McAlister, the current principal, moves to the assistant superintendent’s position.
