Cancer Support Center adds kids fun run to Walk of Hope
Volunteers for the Cancer Support Center will be walking through Homewood for the organization’s annual Walk of Hope on Sunday, Oct. 6. H-F park board approves new equipment for club
The Homewood-Flossmoor Racquet & Fitness Center will be getting five pieces of new equipment. At its board meeting Tuesday, Sept. 17, the board agreed to replace two of its oldest elliptical machines and an old recumbent exerciser.

Juvenile suffers stab wound Monday in Homewood
A juvenile was transported to an area hospital Monday afternoon after suffering a stab wound during a fight in the 18500 block of Poplar Avenue in Homewood, according to police.
Children’s musical presented by H-F Theater students Sept. 26, 27 and 28
“The Last Stop on Market Street,” a children’s musical, will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, Sept. 26 and 27, and 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Mall Auditorium of Homewood-Flossmoor High School.
