Downtown Homewood redevelopment deal stalls

Progress has come to a halt in a redevelopment project on Ridge Road in downtown Homewood, but village officials and the developer said it is still possible the project might be saved. Third Coast Development of Grand Rapids, Mich., recently withdrew its offer to purchase the property at 2033 Ridge Road.

District 153 and teachers agree on new contract

The Homewood-Flossmoor Park District commissioners approved a $14.73 million budget that includes several big-ticket items.   The district will collect $13 million in revenues. Metra meeting offers explanation on possible schedule changes
