District 153 hires McAlister as its next superintendent

The District 153 school board found its replacement for Superintendent Dale Mitchell within the district’s ranks. Scott McAlister, who has been principal of James Hart School the past five school years, accepted the position as superintendent at the board meeting on Monday, April 9.

H-F High teachers awarded tenure

The District 233 school board awarded tenure to nine Homewood-Flossmoor High School teachers at its meeting Tuesday, April 3. Teachers are considered for tenure during their fourth year of full-time employment with the district.
