NSHSS selected Lynn as a top scholar who has demonstrated leadership, scholarship and community commitment, according to Claes Nobel, founder and chairman of the organization. He is a senior member of the family that established the Nobel Prizes.

“Nathaniel is now a member of a unique community of scholars — a community that represents our very best hope for the future,” Nobel said. Outstanding Advanced Placement (AP) scores led to his recognition.

Outside of the classroom, Lynn is a member of the H-F freshman/sophomore football team. He played football with the Junior Vikings before he started at H-F, and was a member of the Homewood-Flossmoor Park District’s basketball program for high school students.

Lynn also volunteers at the Hyde Park Food Pantry and the Chicago Defender Lemonade Days, a program designed to teach the basics of entrepreneurship and savings.
