The Homewood Village Board approved two ordinances at the July 14 meeting that will allow the village to pursue additional state funding for its lead service line replacement program.
The ordinances authorize Homewood to borrow up to about $7.94 million through the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s (IEPA) Public Water Supply Loan Program if additional funding becomes available.
