Homewood firefighters responded to the 800 block of Bowling Green Drive at about 9 a.m. Sunday.

Fire Chief Bob Grabowski said no one was injured in the blaze, but the interior of the home was extensively damaged.

Firefighters from Glenwood, Flossmoor, Hazel Crest and Thornton assisted.

The fire started in the laundry room and is still under investigation, Grabowski said.
