Flossmoor seeks residents’ storm info for FEMA report

Flossmoor officials announced Friday, July 19, that they are working with the Cook County Emergency Management and Regional Security organization to compile a report on property damage from the EF-1 tornado that went through the village on Monday, July 15.

The village is inviting residents to use an online form to report property damage to be included in the report. Forms are due by noon on Monday, July 22.

The report will also help determine if FEMA individual loan assistance or SBA disaster loans are available to residents and business owners.

Village officials note that completing the form does not guarantee that assistance will be provided at this time, but will help the village complete the initial step in the process of determining eligibility.
