One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was transported to Advocate Christ Hospital in serious condition after a one-vehicle crash late Tuesday in Flossmoor.

The identities of the people involved have not been released.

The crash occurred at 10:48 p.m. in the 2800 block of Vollmer Road. A 1999 Chrysler left the roadway for unknown reasons and collided with a brick fence, according to Flossmoor officials.

The Flossmoor Police Department and the Suburban Major Accident Reconstruction Team are conducting a traffic crash investigation.
