Homewood’s new theater company, 23 Miles South, is hosting auditions from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 25 and 26, at St. Paul Community Church for its holiday production of “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.”

Roles are available for six women, four men and several children, as well as a piano player. Persons auditioning are asked to prepare a monologue or read from the script. Children auditioning are asked to sing a holiday song of their choice.

Director Dawn Leader-Peloso will meet candidates on the stage in the lower level of the church, 18200 Dixie Highway.

“The Best Christmas Pageant Ever” is a comedy about a couple struggling to put on a church Christmas pageant that forces them to use some of the most awful kids around. The play is adapted from the best-selling young adult book of the same name.
