It looks like winter is about to throw an early punch.

Forecasters with the National Weather Service have issued a winter storm watch for Saturday that includes Homewood and Flossmoor.

Rain Friday night is expected to turn to snow and continue through the day Saturday with accumulations of 4 to 8 inches possible.

The weather conditions and track of the storm are still somewhat uncertain, so forecasters might update snowfall predictions before Saturday.
