Merit scholars and Illinois State Scholars were among the hundreds of students recognized for their outstanding academic achievements during the Homewood-Flossmoor High School honors program May 18.
The 2025 National Merit Program recognized Julian Grisius and Alexander Wettstein as National Merit finalists. They were in line for college scholarships.
Douwe Groen, Oreoluwa Owolabi, Mahal Reyes and Caleb Stamps as commended students. They did exceptionally well on the PSAT/NMSQT exam as juniors.
